Top Wedding Venues in Hawaii

I know it can be difficult to plan a wedding especially when you are not familiar with the place. Here is the list of some of the wedding venues here in Oahu, Hawaii that I think it’s worth celebrating your dream wedding.  Please click the highlighted names to visit their websites.

1) Lanikuhonua – If you’re looking for an outdoor ceremony, I think Lanikuhonua is the best place to get married. It is located on the West side of Oahu. It’s right next to Paradise Cove. It has a big place that can accommodate small or big events. It is surrounded by palm trees, blue ocean & well-maintained green grass. Best of all, beautiful Hawaiian Sunset.
2) Ihilani Hotel – (also known as Ko’olina) owned by JW Marriott. Located on the West side of Oahu, Hawaii. It is right next to Lanikuhonua and Aulani Hotel (Disney). What I like about Ihilani is having all types of scenery. It has beautiful man made lagoons, it’s right next to the beach, huge facilities and best of all beautiful hotel.
3) The Royal Hawaiian – is one of the trademark hotels in Waikiki. The beautiful pink hotel, also known as The Pink Palace of the Pacific, is a playground of the Head of State & Hollywood elite. Although the hotel was built in 1927, it was renovated in 2009. Now, the luxury hotel looks even better than before.
4) Turtle Bay Resort – has plenty of white sand & palm trees for wedding pictures. It was featured a few times in movies, like Forgetting Sarah Marshall & Hawaii 5-0, just to name a few. Turtle Bay Resort truly has a paradise look and feel.
5) Hilton Hawaiian Village – is located in Waikiki. It has a beautiful chapel, beautiful hotel and it’s right next to the beach. I think Hilton hotel has one of the best ballrooms too.
6) Ko’olau Golf Club – located on the Windward side of Oahu. About 20 minutes drive from Waikiki. It is right next to a golf course and surrounded by beautiful mountains. Ko’olau Golf Club is perfect for outdoor & indoor ceremony.
7) Loulu Palm Estate – is a beautiful private estate to get married. It’s about an hour drive from Waikiki. It has a plantation style home where the bride & groom can get ready. It is also surrounded by well maintained grass, palm trees and it’s right next to the beach.
8)  Kualoa Ranch – located on the Northeastern side of Oahu. About 45 minutes drive from Waikiki. It is surrounded of open valleys, big trees & beautiful scenery. This is a beautiful place for an outdoor event.
9) Halekulani Hotel – located in Waikiki. It has a beautiful garden courtyard and tropical lanai with beautiful backdrops. Halekulani is not just known for beautiful place to get married but also known to have best food.
10) The Kahala Hotel & Resort – celebrities favorite place to stay. It’s located on the East side of Oahu. It has beautiful beach, scenery & dolphins.

11) Dillingham Ranch – the 2,700 acre of land is located in Mokuleia on the North Shore of Oahu.  It’s about 45 minutes drive from Waikiki beach. It is surrounded of beautiful mountains, big trees, green grass and the looks & feel of the ranch. They also have rooms for the guests to stay in and Dillingham Ranch is not too far from the beach. If you are looking for a ranch in Oahu to do your wedding or any event, I would check out Dillingham Ranch..

Thank you for these recommendations. Do you know which are the best ones for a fun reception dinner where the music and dancing doesn’t have to end by 11pm?

Kind Regards

Aloha Candice,
Thank you for leaving the comment.
I sent you an email.
I hope it help you.

Candice took the words right out of my mouth. I want a ceremony with the best view of the ocean and a fun reception that lasts longer than 2am or till dawn lol. which do you recommend? Turtle Bay looks relly nice

Thank you

Aloha Idia,
Thank you for stopping by.
I honestly don’t know any place here that is open til dawn. You might want to call Loulu Palm for more information.

Do you know which hotel has the best beach wedding experience. Was looking at the Hilton Hawaiian village. Started there because we are staying there. Thank you!

Aloha Heidi,
Thank you for stopping by.
The beach behind the Hilton Hawaiian Village is beautiful. It has the view of the Diamond Head, Waikiki Beach and perfect for sunset photos. However, it can be crowded most of the time. There are a lot of beach goer around that area.
Another hotel that has beautiful beach is Koolina, also known as Ihilani hotel. There’s less people at the beach and there’s a lot of places to do the photo shoot.
Overall, I think both hotels are perfect for weddings.
I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

I am seconding Candace’s response above: Thank you for these recommendations. Do you know which are the best ones for a fun reception dinner where the music and dancing doesn’t have to end by 11pm? We are looking for a lawn ceremony and tent reception outdoors as much as possible, but don’t want the fun to end at an early time.

Aloha Jamila,
Thank you for stopping by.
I’m not sure if there’s an outdoor reception here that will allow you to stay later than 11:00pm. However, you might want to call Lanikuhonua, Loulu Palm, Kualoa Ranch and Dillingham Ranch for their schedule.
If you find one, please share it here so other people can benefit from it.

I am wondering if you know a private residence that rents out for a small intimate wedding. I have seen all the “famous & expensive private estates” online and in actual. They are all huge. Do you know any place smaller? Thanks! I’m looking at private residences by the beach.

Aloha Rhonnie,
Thank you for checking my blog.
You might want to check Paradise Bay Resort in Kaneohe. Although they don’t have sands around the facility, they have nice view and it’s close to the water.
Please check their website.

hello! Thank you for the recommendations – great summary of all 🙂 You mentioned the Hilton Hawaiian has a great ballroom. Is there any in particular you were referring to? The Hilton Hawaiian has so many different ballrooms so I wanted to check 🙂 Could you also please let me know how good the beach views are from the chapel?
Thanks so much!

Aloha Natasha,
Thank you for stopping by. I’m glad you find this blog helpful.
I think Hilton Hawaiian Village ballrooms are all beautiful. Some are just bigger than the other.
If you have a big wedding, I recommend the Coral, Tapa or Honolulu Suite. For smaller party, I recommend the Rainbow Suite.
What I like about the Rainbow Suite is it’s very close to the beach and lagoon. It’s literally just outside your doorstep.
